Exploring classical forms and the natural movement of native timbers sourced from storm fallen and damaged trees, I create vessels that celebrate imperfection.
Through charring, ammonia fuming, and copper stitching, each piece develops a unique final form shaped by both myself and the material.
Many of the timbers used in my work come from local trees that have fallen or been removed due to damage.
If you have a tree that has come down in a storm or been removed due to damage, I am always interested in coming to collect parts of it to give it a second life as a unique piece of my work, preserving its story and character.
